Peltier marble identification.

Dave, this is a (prime) example of a Peltier that is a tad bit harder to find. This has the inner/outer composition of a beautiful green family type probably being an earlier type of a possible NLR. When Peltier played with this (green) color, you may find MANY shades and concentrations of this in lots of family types. Chuck G---.

Peltier swirled and ribboned marbles are fairly easy to identify . with experience. Patches are hard to identify. Some Akro, Master & Peltier . patches are fairly obvious, some not …

Its been tough getting any clear pics that show the design and also the depth of the lines. In my defense, I have never seen another caged cat eye marble and seen peltier style in the lines. The one whit the most curves makes me think pelt. And one of the lines dives past halfway into the marble. Its ⅝ player size.

Marble King was started in 1949 by Berry Pink and Sellers Peltier in St. Mary's, West Virginia. The machinery was purchased from the Alley Glass Company. It was moved to Paden City, West Virginia, in 1958 after a fire destroyed the original plant. Berry Pink had also been jobbing marbles since the 1920s under the trade name "Berry Pink, IncMint Peltier banana Cat Eyes are about $1.00 each. Collectible Cat eyes are usually by Marble King or Vitro. The collectable Cat Eyes usually have aventurine or hybrids, or four colors, large size, or certain number of vanes. Or shape of vanes like the Vitro horseshoe Cat Eye. Just search information for Cat Eye marbles.
